designed to minister to the needs of individuals and families
awaits you at House of Prayer. Kids programs, vacation Bible
School, Bible Camps, mission outreaches, and Upwards sports
programs are a part of our investment in the youth. Our
strong belief in and support of Missions opens many doors
of opportunity and has been blessed
of God. Come visit and if the Lords leads you, we would
love for you to become a part of our House of Prayer Church
Family.
Church
founders wanted a church where people who loved Jesus could
come together and worship. Their motto was:
No book, but the Bible,
No
membership, but fellowship,
In
essentials, unity,
In
non-essentials, liberty,
In
all things, love...

It's On My Mind
9/2/08
We are “IN” hurricane season! It is a fact! “Fay” continued to come and go in her visit to Florida. Gustav has made landfall with gusto as the largest evacuation in the history of our country was underway. And then there is Hanna, etc.
Last night as Barbie and I prayed we remembered those who were trying to sleep in temporary shelters. But what a relief to see that so many people were taking this hurricane warning very serious. Maybe the experience with “Katrina” made a difference this time.
Today I read an e-mail from a daughter, who lives near the storm, to her mom who lives here. The daughter did an excellent job of relating this to the “storm” that God’s Word tells us about in the Last Days. We don’t know when that “storm” will come but we can be prepared. If you are prepared (know Jesus as your Personal Savior) we sure need to communicate it clearly to our families and friends so that they, too, will heed the warnings.
It was just on my mind.
God loves you and so do I!
